After a good night’s rest, head out on state route 470 East to Lookout Mountain Park, about a 40-minute ride from Highlands Ranch. Park your bike and follow the path to The Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave. Go back in time to the wild west and learn about Buffalo Bill’s early life and show business career. Don’t miss a visit to the observation deck for gorgeous Rocky Mountain views.
Lariat Loop Scenic Byway
Need a more challenging ride with plenty of twists and turns? Drive further north on 470 to route 6 to explore the Lariat Loop Scenic Byway. Travel time to complete the 40-mile loop is about two hours. Plan for stops along the way including a few hours at Dinosaur Ridge. Take a break and walk the trails featuring dinosaur fossils and footprints.
