A Step by Step Guide to Hosting
Do you want to start a blog? I will give you a step by step tutorial to get you up in running in no time. Blogging isn’t designed to be hard or scary and with the right kind of tools for writing your first blog in 15 minutes. In this tutorial, I will teach you how to create your own blog. Which includes setting up a host and domain through Siteground.

Before you decide on a host. Make sure you know what platform you want to use. This will help the process go a lot faster. I use WordPress. You can check out my website here. My Sweet Beautiful Life.
WordPress.com is great for beginners and is FREE!!! They have hundreds of themes to choose from and there are premium packages if you chose that route. You get free hosting and a domain, however, limited restrictions will apply to the free plan and the premium plan can offer more options for your needs. WordPress.org. This is more self-controlled. Here you will need to find your own host. There is no limit to your imagination with your website.
If you want the freedom and no limits WordPress.org is the way to go and this tutorial is going to walk you through getting WordPress.org.
Hosting

Choose the plan that fits your needs. Each plan comes with a free domain registration. I chose the startup plan as I only have one website that I am using.
Domain
You need to get a domain. Make sure your domain is short and easy for people to remember. Whatever you are wanting to write about use that as a basis for your domain.

The next step Review and Complete. This is where you will verify your personal information and domain. Once you have reviewed you can check out.
WordPress Installation
Once logged into SiteGround go to your cPanel and under AUTOINSTALLERS click WordPress to install. This will direct you to apply Admin email, domain, site name (all found under your SiteGround under myaccount>information & settings), and password.
You are now up and running. WordPress.org site will appear and will have a generic theme to start, however, don’t worry you can change this at any time. There are hundreds to choose from. each theme comes with their own unique abilities and capabilities. Make sure you check them out for a spin before creating your website. Another option is to go to WordPress dashboard and find the tap Appearance and then themes. This will take you to the WordPress theme repository.
