Viking Cycle Jacket Review

May 23, 2018

I have never done a review of motorcycle products. So, being my first review let me start by saying how much I appreciate Viking Cycle reaching out to me and asking me to review one of their products. Last week I received the Viking Cycle Warlock Women’s Motorcycle Mesh Jacket.

**I may earn some cash from the companies mentioned in this post. That being said,  I only recommend products that I’ve used and loved! I Thank you for your support. Read full disclosure here.

Delivery

I received my package within 3-days of the product being ordered. The package had a little weight behind it and I knew that the jacket was going to be a heavy duty one. Once I opened the package, the jacket was wrapped in plastic for protection. Which I use still while the jacket is hanging up.

I get pretty excited when I receive something in the mail. Getting this jacket and being able to take it for a test run on my bike was even better.

Style

I have to hand it to Viking Cycle. There are not many motorcycle companies that cater to women and pull it off. Many companies try to design appeal for women and really miss the mark. I ordered a large and it fits like a glove. This is style and practicality all in one. The jacket not only fits but it hugs me in all the right spots making me look smaller and slimmer. This was not the color I was looking for, but I have to say I was staring in the mirror for a while impressed by what I was looking at.

Since we are discussing the style of the jacket. I would like to go from top to bottom of the jacket.

Neck:

The neck liner came with a fold-down flap that looks like it can attach to a hoodie or balaclava. When trying on I looked for if it was going to creep up on my chin and rub off my makeup. The jacket is makeup free and there was no ride up. There was also no rubbing of the fabric on my chin and neck while riding. This is a plus.

Arms:

The mesh jacket comes with removable flex Shoulder and elbow pads. This jacket allows for easy movement and covers the extension of the whole arm. There are adjustable straps/buttons for a more secure feel, however, I find it really unnecessary due to how well the wristband was designed.  The wristband comes with Valco straps and zipper to tighten to reduce the amount of wind going through the jacket. I did not have to do too much adjusting as the wrist fit me so perfectly.

Back Side:

The back is made of mesh material for air to circulate. Making rides more enjoyable in the summer months. The back comes with a back shield That covers the entire portion of the back including the shoulder blades. Moving down the jacket Viking Cycle designed three adjustable straps for a more snug feel. I love this added feature which again not only for the snug feel and protection but for the style and the slimming effect it gives.

Inside:

The jacket comes with an inside insulated piece that is removable for the summer months. Each side of the inside jacket comes with deep pockets for phones, small tablets, sunglasses, and even a wallet.  The right-hand side there is an extra large pocket as well. Both sides come with small upper pockets to store a small cell phone, pens, and knife. The bonus is there are clips to hold your earplug wire in place within the inside jacket. No more loose wires.

Front Side:

The jacket is mesh material with two deep pockets. The right-hand side comes with a key holder so you will never drop your keys again.

Protection

There key protection points on this jacket which are the shoulder, elbow, and neck pads that are all removable for washing. The outside jacket also comes with added padding built into the outside elbow part of the jacket. The zip tight pockets make sure for a snug fit to reduce air coming through and creating a balloon effect while riding. There are also reflecting piping on the jacket to make you more visible.

Bottom Line

I am pretty pleased with this jacket. I bought a similar one that was lighter in weight and did not come with any pads and paid over $100. The Viking Cycle Warlock Motorcycle Mesh Jacket is a great investment and worth every penny. Don’t forget to check out Viking Cycle for your new jacket at http://www.vikingcycle.com
