Start your day with a long shower

Your scent has quite a lot to do with how clean you are. With that in mind, it makes sense to begin the day’s proceedings with a nice, long shower!

Of course, you might be thinking that you only have time for a quick shower in the mornings. If you can’t (or won’t) wake up earlier for a longer shower, all is not lost.

For those of you that can only do a quick cleanse, focus on the parts of your body that have the most sweat glands. Examples of such areas include your groin, butt, and armpits.

Use the right antiperspirant

It’s no secret that there are many products on the market you can buy. With such a vast choice of antiperspirants and deodorants, which should you choose?

It can be a bit of a trial and error process. In general, you want to choose a product that:

  • Lasts you throughout the day;
  • Doesn’t leave any stains on your clothing;
  • Smells great; and
  • Won’t cause your skin to have an allergic reaction.

Be sure to carry a travel-sized antiperspirant with you. That way, you can always top-up on hot days or those with a lot of physical activity.

Wear the right clothing

Did you know that wearing certain types of clothing can cause you to sweat? You want to avoid sweating if you can help it, and the good news is that you can by wearing the right clothes!

For example, you could wear something like a NUMI undershirt to absorb body moisture. It’s also worth avoiding polyester, as research has shown that it can trap sweat and bacteria.

The smarter way to apply your perfume

Do you enjoy applying a fragrant perfume on yourself each day? If so, there are some ways to make that scent last longer.

For instance, it’s worth putting on your perfume at specific parts of your body. These include the back of your neck, on your wrists, and even behind your knees!

Another smart way to apply perfume is by using a roll-on version of your favorite scent. If you can’t find one, it’s possible to make one up by using a rollerball bottle.

Use scented moisturizer

One final trick is to moisturize your skin with scented products. If you apply some to your body right after your shower, it will last longer. If you also use perfume, make sure that the two scents don’t clash with each other.
